PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Ropivacaine Hydrochloride Injection is a long-acting, amide-type local anesthetic used for regional anesthesia, including epidural, nerve block, and infiltration techniques.

It provides effective sensory and motor block with a reduced risk of cardiovascular and central nervous system toxicity compared to other local anesthetics like bupivacaine.

• Route of Administration: Via Epidural, Peripheral nerve block, Infiltration (subcutaneous or perineural) routes or as advised by physician. To be used after appropriate reconstitution or as per clinical indication and recommendation. Reconstituted as per protocol for injection in country of use. To be administered under strict supervision of a qualified doctor or as per physician’s discretion or decision only.

• COMMON:
  • Hypotension

• PRECAUTIONS:
  • Should be administered only by trained personnel with resuscitative equipment available
  • Caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, hepatic impairment, or renal dysfunction
  • Not recommended for intravenous use
  • Avoid repeated high doses over short intervals
  • Monitor patients continuously during administration, especially in obstetric or elderly populations
