PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Desmopressin is a synthetic analogue of vasopressin (antidiuretic hormone) used to manage hemorrhagic and water-balance disorders.
It exerts antidiuretic effects by enhancing water reabsorption in renal tubules and stimulates the release of coagulation factor VIII and von Willebrand factor, making it effective in treating diabetes insipidus and bleeding disorders such as mild hemophilia A and von Willebrand disease.
Available as a 4 MCG/ML injectable formulation, Desmopressin is used in both acute management and surgical prophylaxis. It is manufactured in GMP-compliant facilities, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory readiness.

- Hyponatremia and water intoxication (with excessive fluid intake)
- Seizures (in severe hyponatremia)
- Allergic reactions or rash
- Hypotension or tachycardia in IV administration
- PRECAUTIONS:
- Monitor serum sodium levels during therapy to prevent hyponatremia
- Fluid intake should be regulated to prevent water retention
- Not recommended in patients with a history of hyponatremia or cardiovascular instability
- Use with caution in children and elderly patients
