PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

 

Cisatracurium Besylate Injection is a non-depolarizing skeletal muscle relaxant used as an adjunct to general anesthesia to facilitate tracheal intubation and provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation.

It is an isomer of atracurium with a superior safety profile, reduced histamine release, and organ-independent metabolism, making it ideal for use in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.

This formulation offers reliable onset, predictable duration, and a favorable hemodynamic profile.

Its use in critical care and operating room settings worldwide has made it an essential neuromuscular blocking agent in anesthesia protocols.

  • Dosage Form: Sterile Injectable
  • Presentation: Clear Sterile Solution in Clear/Amber Glass Vial/ Ampoule (customizable as per market demand)

    • 2 MG/ ML
  • Route of Administration: Intravenous (IV) Bolus or Continuous Infusion. To be used after appropriate reconstitution or as per clinical indication and recommendation. Reconstituted as per protocol for injection in country of use. To be administered under strict supervision of a qualified doctor or as per physician’s discretion or decision only.

Side Effects:

  • COMMON:

    • Histamine release (less than with atracurium)
  • PRECAUTIONS:
    • To be used only in a controlled setting by experienced healthcare professionals
    • Monitor neuromuscular function closely
    • Use caution in patients with myasthenia gravis or neuromuscular disorders
    • Not for use without facilities for intubation, oxygen administration, and ventilation
    • Should not be mixed with alkaline solutions (e.g., barbiturates)
