PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

This combination of Cefuroxime 500 MG and Clavulanic Acid 125 MG offers an enhanced broad-spectrum antibiotic formulation designed to combat resistant bacterial infections.

Cefuroxime is a second-generation cephalosporin with strong activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.

Clavulanic Acid is a potent β-lactamase inhibitor that extends Cefuroxime’s efficacy by protecting it from enzymatic degradation by resistant bacteria.

The formulation is especially effective in difficult-to-treat infections where β-lactamase-producing strains are involved.

It is a powerful oral step-down therapy from parenteral antibiotics or as a standalone treatment in severe outpatient infections.

Side Effects:

• COMMON:
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Abdominal discomfort
  • Headache
  • Mild rash
• SERIOUS (RARE):
  • Hypersensitivity reactions (including anaphylaxis)
  • Stevens-Johnson Syndrome
  • Clostridioides difficile–associated diarrhea
  • Hepatic dysfunction (cholestatic jaundice, elevated liver enzymes)
  • Hematological abnormalities (leukopenia, eosinophilia)
• PRECAUTIONS:
  • Contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or penicillins
  • Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment
  • Take after meals to enhance absorption and reduce gastrointestinal irritation
  • Monitor liver function with prolonged therapy
  • Complete the full course to prevent microbial resistance
