Bleomycin is a broad-spectrum antitumor antibiotic, widely used as a cytotoxic agent in various chemotherapy protocols.
Derived from Streptomyces verticillus, Bleomycin exhibits its anticancer activity by inducing DNA strand breaks and inhibiting DNA synthesis, making it particularly effective in germ cell tumors, lymphomas, and squamous cell carcinomas.
