PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Ampicillin + Cloxacillin Capsules are a synergistic combination of two potent β-lactam antibiotics.

Ampicillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin that targets Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms, while Cloxacillin is a penicillinase-resistant antibiotic effective against penicillinase-producing staphylococci.

Together, they provide a comprehensive spectrum of antibacterial action, making them especially effective in mixed infections involving both susceptible and resistant organisms.

This dual-action therapy is widely used in community-acquired infections, skin and soft tissue infections, ENT infections, and post-surgical prophylaxis.

  • Ampicillin 125 MG + Cloxacillin 125 MG Dry Syrup

Side Effects:

• COMMON:
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Loose stools or mild diarrhea
  • Skin rash or itching
  • Mild abdominal discomfort
• SERIOUS (RARE):
  • Hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylaxis
  • Stevens-Johnson Syndrome
  • Hepatic dysfunction or cholestatic jaundice
  • Clostridioides difficile–associated diarrhea
  • Hematologic abnormalities (e.g., eosinophilia, thrombocytopenia)
• PRECAUTIONS:
  • Avoid in individuals with known allergy to penicillins or cephalosporins
  • Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment
  • Regular liver function monitoring in long-term therapy
  • May reduce efficacy of oral contraceptives – advise alternate contraception
  • Complete full therapy even if symptoms improve early
